Teaching kids today the skills they need for a better tomorrow.
Our Core Values
Our three core values are like guiding stars in everything we do:
Clarity and Order:
We believe in keeping things clear and organized. This helps everyone, therapists and kids alike, feel safe. We pay attention to the little details because they make a big difference.
<span data-metadata=""><span data-buffer="">Learning and Development:
Growing and learning are at the heart of being alive. We’re all about getting better, learning new things, and helping kids and therapists grow.
Humanity, Authenticity, and Warmth:
Being real and kind makes everyone feel welcome and safe. We believe in warm hugs and want you to know that – you belong here. This warmth and realness helps us provide a space where everyone feels supported and valued.
RUTI’S STORY
Discover the Journey Behind MindfulKids
A few years ago, I had a young client named Lisa. She was 9, full of life, and couldn’t sit still.
Lisa was very clever but found it hard to focus because of her ADHD.
Life had been tough for her, moving from her family to a foster home and then to boarding schools. I really wanted to help Lisa.
She was given medicine to help her calm down, but it was important for her to learn how to relax on her own. I had been studying and teaching mindfulness and CBT for years and knew these could help Lisa feel better about herself and make friends.
But here’s the thing—I looked everywhere for tools that were both fun and based on solid research. I searched high and low, but everything I found fell short. Lisa needed something captivating, something that would truly resonate with her.
So, with no suitable tools in sight, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. I created my own worksheets, ones that would engage Lisa on emotional and social levels.
The results?
Beyond what I’d hoped. Lisa didn’t just like the worksheets; she thrived with them. She learned to soothe herself when upset and opened up about her feelings. She even made two great friends at school. For the first time, Lisa felt she truly belonged, and her grades started to improve too.
Seeing Lisa’s transformation, I knew I had to share these worksheets with the world. Now, they’re helping kids and teens across the globe, in 12 different languages. They tackle everything from managing emotions to improving social skills, from reducing stress to achieving in sports and academics.
This journey with Lisa taught me that with the right support, every child could shine bright. And that’s the story of MindfulKids.
